Say goodbye to color that fades before you even get there. MagicLocks™ is the 12-color hair chalk that shows up on dark hair, stays bright all day, and washes out in one shampoo. Bold enough that she gasps in the mirror, easy enough that she does it herself, and gone by bath time.

MagicLocksโ„ข Hair Chalk HeyWondr

One Spray, One Glide: Color That Actually Shows Up

You've dragged chalk down her hair and watched almost nothing happen. You've seen the color go on bright and disappear before you got to the car. You've told her it looked great when you both knew it didn't.

MagicLocks™ changes everything, and the reason is almost stupidly simple. Wet the strand first. Damp hair grabs the pigment instead of shaking it back off, so the color goes on bold on blonde and bright on brown and black. There's a little mister in the box to get you started, and after that any spray bottle of water does the same job. The clamp-on applicator holds the chalk against the strand, so she gets a clean stripe instead of colored fingers.

Twelve colors. About two minutes from plain hair to the version she wanted.

No sad pastel streak. No going over it four times. Just the color she asked for.

The Twenty Minutes She'll Actually Remember

You've bought the toy that got played with twice. You've watched the craft kit go back in the cupboard half-finished. You've paid for a whole phase that lasted a weekend.

This one is different for a boring reason: it happens to her. She picks the colors, she watches them appear on her own hair, and she turns her head in the mirror about forty times. Then she goes and finds someone to show.

That's what you're actually paying for. Not twelve tins of chalk - the running into the room to show you.

Is it messy? A bit, it's chalk. Towel round her shoulders, do it over the bath, wipe the counter after. That's the whole of it.

No batteries. No screen. Just her, twelve colors and a mirror.

It Washes Out. That's the Whole Point.

She's been asking for pink hair since she saw it on somebody at school. You've been saying no, because no is what you say to permanent dye on a nine-year-old.

Sound familiar?

MagicLocks™ turns that argument into a Saturday afternoon. One shampoo and it's gone - no bleach, no growing it out, no regret on picture day. She gets to be the girl with the blue ends all weekend, and you get your kid back on Monday morning.

One honest note: on bleached or platinum hair, the deepest blues and reds can leave a faint tint for a wash or two. Stick to the pastels on very light hair and it rinses clean.

She gets her yes. You keep your no. Everybody wins.

Why Parents Love MagicLocks™ Hair Chalk

💦
Color That Actually Shows Up

Mist the strand first and damp hair grabs the pigment instead of shaking it back off, so the color goes on bold instead of dusty. A starter mister is in the box, and any water spray works after that.

🖤
Works on Dark Hair, Not Just Blonde

Bright blues, greens, pinks and purples read clearly on brown and black hair - no more buying a set your daughter can't actually use.

🌈
Twelve Colors, One Box

Enough shades to wear one favorite, blend a whole rainbow, or match a team, a costume or a birthday theme - no reordering to get the color she wanted.

💅
She Does It Herself

The clamp-on applicator holds the chalk against the strand, so she can do her own streaks - no colored fingers, no parent stuck doing the whole head.

🚿
Gone in One Shampoo

No bleach, no growing it out, no three-week commitment to a color she picked on a Saturday afternoon.

🎀
Glides Instead of Dragging

Mist first and the applicator slides down the strand - no yanking, no yelps, no fight to get the second side done.

🎁
The Gift That Doesn't Get Shelved

Birthday parties, crazy hair day, Halloween, team colors, sleepovers - it comes back out of the drawer again and again.

🔒
Snaps Shut, Stays Fresh

Every color closes into its own case, so the chalk doesn't crumble to dust in the bottom of a drawer between uses.

  • Finally works on her dark hair

My daughter has almost black hair and every chalk set we tried before this just made her look dusty. I nearly did not order because I assumed it would be the same. Misting the section with water first is what makes the difference and nobody had ever told me that. The turquoise came out properly bright. She spent about twenty minutes in front of the mirror turning her head. Washed out completely that night.

  • No dragging, no complaining

I bought a cheap set off Amazon in October and it dragged so badly my daughter would not let me finish the second side. This one glides, as long as you spray first. We did four streaks in about five minutes with no complaining at all. The little cases snapping shut is a small thing but it means the chalk is not crumbs by the third use.

  • Nine girls, twelve colors

Got these for my daughter's birthday party and set them up on the kitchen table with a towel down. Nine girls, twelve colors, and I have never seen a party activity hold their attention that long. Two of the mums asked me where I got them. It did take a proper shampoo and a bit of scrubbing to get the purple off the counter afterwards, so put a towel down like I did.

  • Lasted the whole school day

Honestly the color is great and it lasted the whole school day for crazy hair day. My one gripe is that some of it came off on her white polo collar by the afternoon, so next time she is wearing something dark. That is chalk being chalk though, not a fault with these. The greens and blues are much more pigmented than the last set we had.

  • Rinsed out first wash

I researched this for ages because my seven year old has fine blonde hair and I was worried about staining. Stuck to the pastel shades on the advice on the page and it rinsed out first wash with nothing left behind. She has done her own hair three times since without me. That independence bit was worth the money on its own.

  • Out of the drawer constantly

Bought it for a Halloween costume and it has been out of the drawer probably ten times since. She has done her hair, her sister's hair, and both her dolls. My husband asked if we could stop buying things that end up on the dog and then let her do a green stripe on him anyway. Comes out with normal shampoo, no fuss.
